The 2024 Referendum Advisory Committee will make a final recommendation to the Board of Education by the June 4, 2024 Board of Education meeting. The final decision of what will be asked on a potential referendum question rests with the Board. If the Board decides to place a referendum question on the November 2024 ballot, it must approve the question in August 2024. The committee consists of approximately 60 members representing all district attendance areas and grade levels, as well as members of local Barrington community organizations. Meetings are open to the public, however, only committee members may participate and vote. May 21 2024 Board of Education Meeting 6 : 30 PM - 9 : 30 PM All regular Board of Education meetings are held on Tuesday evenings, beginning with a Closed Session at 5:30 p.m., immediately followed by Open Session at 6:30 p.m. Unless otherwise noted, the meetings will take place at the District Administrative Center, 515 West Main Street, Barrington, Illinois. May 22 2024 Innovation Showcase at BHS 5 : 00 PM - 6 : 00 PM Join Barrington 220 and the Barrington 220 Educational Foundation at the annual Innovation Showcase at Barrington High School on May 22 from 5pm-6pm! BHS students enrolled in Career Technical Education (CTE) courses will feature their portfolios, and attendees will learn more about the innovative spaces and career programs at BHS. Following the showcase, head to the BHS auditorium, where the 11th annual Business INCubator Pitch Night will begin at 6pm. Student groups will pitch their companies to investors during a "Shark Tank"-style presentation. Believed to be the first of its kind in the nation, the Business INCubator program was started at Barrington High School during the 2013-14 school year. Since the program’s inception, it has grown nationally and internationally.
